Louis Reed

Louis L. Reed, LADC, AADC, is the Executive Vice President at the Douglass Project and a prominent advocate for criminal justice reform. After serving 14 years in federal prison, he was instrumental in passing the First Step Act, benefiting over 650,000 justice-impacted individuals. His career includes senior roles at Jay Z's REFORM Alliance, the Fines and Fees Justice Center, and Van Jones's Dream Corps JUSTICE. Louis has led public service initiatives in Bridgeport, CT, and influenced significant legislative reforms. Recognized for his contributions, he has received numerous accolades, including the 2023 Key to the City of Bridgeport, and serves as a consulting producer on Hulu’s "UnPrisoned," and is featured in Amazon's " First Step Act."
