Kevin Paulin

Dr. Kevin Paulin is a passionate and visionary leader dedicated to empowering underserved communities through trauma-informed, community-driven solutions. With over a decade of experience in the human services field, he has worked extensively with individuals navigating homelessness, intellectual disabilities, mental health challenges, reentry, and recovery. Dr. Paulin has held key leadership roles at Marrakech Inc. and Columbus House, where he led impactful programs that foster dignity, stability, and second chances. His work is deeply informed by his own lived experience, positioning him as a credible messenger and advocate for systemic change. In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Paulin is an entrepreneur and a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI®), committed to increasing financial empowerment for justice-impacted individuals. He holds degrees in Business Management from Gateway Community College and Charter Oak State College. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters (Hon. D.Hum.) and named a 2024 “100 Men of Color” honoree for his service and leadership. Dr. Paulin also serves on the Board of Directors for The Connecticut Women’s Consortium, where he advances social justice and advocacy efforts across the state.
