Taj Amir Abdur Rahman

Taj Amir worked in re-entry as a Transitional career developer, change agent and community builder for over thirty. From 1998 while incarcerated he embarked upon a course to assist judicially Involved Men reentering society, assisting them to succeed and thrive as returned citizens. There he went to college, graduated with an associate degree in 2001 with Honors. Upon release, he held a warehouse job for three years before joining an abatement construction company. After learning the abatement business, he started his own company. Main Street Environmental LLC. Operated this company for two years when he was injured and closed. He then returned to college, Springfield College School of Human Services where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree, Summa Cum Laude, Honor society member, Dean’s list and Who’s Who in American Colleges. 2010-2012 During this time, he began volunteering his Human service skill set with the Islamic Community, Masjid Madina in Windsor CT. There he hosted the Hartford Public Television Live Broadcast for Masjid Madina Dawah program, Living Islam in America. He has continuously volunteered in the Department of Corrections as an Imam and educator from 2010 to date. In 2018 he enrolled in Goodwin University for the pilot program called ENet Entrepreneur program. This was a business certificate course with 18 college credits. After, he started a Logistics Company, FSC Logistics LLC. At the same time Edward Andrews attended this class. Upon graduation he started Second Chance Reentry Initiative Program, SCRIP INC. He asked Taj to work with him which he did by postponing my start-up. Working with Edward building the database, teaching the Ascend Guidebook and workbook as a facilitator alongside Professors and therapists at the headquarters. Facilitating the program in group homes one of them being My People, with Abdullah until Covid-19 quarantined the building. He continued with SCRIP INC. starting up and building (
